- Representing employers at EDD appeal hearings in front of CUIAB (California Employment Insurance Appeals Board);
- Consulting employers on proper ways to compensate employees including overtime, meal breaks and rest breaks, alternative work schedule, applicability of various wage exemptions to employees, and employee/independent contractor issues;
- Defending employers in court and in front of the Labor Commissioner's office at DLSE in wage and failure to pay overtime cases;
- Representing employers in court in wrongful termination, discrimination, and other related types of employment litigation;
- Drafting and reviewing employment documents, including employment and consulting contracts and agreements, partnership agreements employee handbooks and various employer policies, and releases of liability.
